Food and Nutrition

  • March 20: Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) Data Report in TX-UNPS deadline
  • March 31: PY24 Annual NSLP Financial Report (FY 2022-2023 Data) opened January 1, 2024, and is due by March 31, 2024.
  • April 1: Food Service Management Company: New contract selections must be submitted to TDA for approval to award/execute.
  • April 15: Last day to submit the SFSP Intake Form via squaremeals.org to initiate the potential applicant review process. Last day to submit the SFSP Application Packet in TX-UNPS for all renewing SFSP CEs that are Not in Good Standing (including CEs with a temporary deferred Serious Deficiency [SD]) for SFSP 2022, CACFP 2022 and/or CACFP 2023. May 1, 2024 - Last day to submit Application Packets for all other renewing CEs. (SFSP) Training is required for all new and renewing contracting entities before the application is submitted.
  • April 15: NSLP Application for PY25 opens in TX-UNPS
  • April 17: New FSMC contract selection must be submitted to TDA for award and execution.
  • April 29: Last day to submit February claim for reimbursement.
  • Commodities – All catalogs in WBSCM were closed on March 1, 2024. TDA could be making changes to completed requisitions through March and April (changes, if made, would be to assist them in proper ordering for the whole state of Texas). TDA anticipates concluding commodity planning for SY24-25 by May 1.
  • Registration has opened for MegaCon. This conference is for CN directors and business officials. We encourage all districts to attend, if possible, to receive guidance on Child Nutrition's financial operations.

School Board
